I attended the 1st and 2nd Regional Congresses held at our school, which greatly helped me better understand my program and the knowledge and skills I need to develop as a BSOA student. The event included various activities where students from different schools participated, making the experience more engaging and interactive.
One of the activities I attended was the WASAR (Water Search and Rescue) demonstration, where we were taught practical ways to stay safe during calamities such as floods and earthquakes. This activity increased my awareness of disaster preparedness and taught me the importance of staying calm and alert during emergencies.
We also attended a symposium where guest speakers shared their expertise and insights related to our program. Through this, I gained valuable knowledge and a deeper understanding of the skills and competencies needed in my chosen field. After the symposium, a BSOA student-facilitated fashion show was held, where we all walked the runway. This activity helped me build confidence in myself and improve my self-esteem. It also taught us the importance of proper self-presentation and grooming as preparation for our future careers.
Overall, the experience highlighted the importance of preparedness, teamwork, and self-confidence. The Regional Congress was both fun and meaningful because it allowed me to gain valuable skills and experiences that will help me in my BSOA program and future career.
